The figures shown indicate the percentage ratio between the aluminium content and the mixed impurities within a bale. Impurities include materials such as paper and plastics, which are undesirable in the recycling process.
This ratio provides insight into the purity of the aluminium content – and therefore into the quality of the recycled material.
Products made from recycled aluminium include: body parts, beverage cans, bicycles, etc.
